I completed this artwork in my Fall 2022 Drawing 1 class. We were tasked with creating a drawing with symbolism or personal meaning within the categories of personal, religious, or social. I chose social, and decided to explore the complex human relationship with technology, particularly technology that either attempts to imitate human interaction or imitate human intelligence. This is particularly tied to the idea of AI intelligence and AI art. This went through multiple first drafts and it took me a while to settle on what I eventually drew. I used white conte on black paper.
