This is a mixed media piece that I created by combining three prints that I made during the Fall 2022 semester in my 2D Design class. By combining the skull of a cat, a small predator, and the wings of butterflies, I attempted to comment on the delicate connection between life and death, as well as the relationship between predator and prey, particularly after death. The usage of the red paper is meant to ground the viewer's gaze and highlight the objects surrounded by black and white, as well as invoke the violence of death.
